Your role & responsibilities

• You will be at the forefront of developing a fully automated account advice service, by:
• Leading projects to improve recognition and interpretation of bank transaction data
• Training and improving machine learning algorithms
• Recommending improvements to other internal databases based on your insights
• Building a complex engine of rules that helps customers get full transparency on their finances
• Developing new ways to identify and leverage transactional data information
• Contributing to the MoneyMap product vision of a fully automated personal finance manager
• Managing goals and expectations both upwards and downwards

Your profile

• Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in data management / data science
• Previous experience in financial services (e.g. banking, personal finance management, credit, lending, credit scoring) is a great plus
• Experience with machine learning or data mining is a plus
• Fluent English proficiency, German is helpful but not mandatory
• Strong technical and problem solving skills
• Ability to manage your tasks independently and proactively bring in new ideas

We are seeking for the foundation of our start-up company, suprAIme health, in the Berlin/Brandenburg region, a software engineer as co-founder and staff member.

The goal of suprAIme health is to optimize the treatment after traumatic brain and spinal cord injury. Our product will be a virtual medical assistant which employs big data analysis of medical records and patient histories.  The core component will be an artificial intelligence based on IBM’s Watson technology which offers the customer a selection with the best treatment alternatives along with risk predictions.

Job responsibilities:

• Lead developer of a web application front-end with an interface to IBM’s Bluemix and Watson
• Comfortable with unit, integration etc. testing and take the exercise seriously
• Build, manage and organize a team
• Present the company and product at exhibitions and willingness to participate in product demonstrations with customers

Requirements:

• Polytechnic, University or equivalent degree in computer science or similar discipline
• Good skills in UI relevant script languages e.g. JavaScript/Java  
• Good skills in at least one web application toolkit and cloud technologies ideally Bluemix
• Capacity to analyze problems and translate them into technical concepts or specifications
• Work independently and on your own responsibility
• Good command of English and at least working level German skills

Desirable:

• Work experience as a software developer
• Acquisition of relevant data protection regulations in medicine
• Good social skills. Ability to verbalize potential team conflicts and suggest solutions

Data Standards Project Lead
£50,000 - £60,000 (plus contributory pension 3-5%)

The Data Standards Lead is a key post, created specifically to lead and manage a major stream of work to develop a reference architecture (a common Data Standard) for the UK social housing sector.

UK social housing suffers from poor data management, a lack of integrated systems and massive barriers to market entry by new technology and data suppliers. This imposes significant costs on the sector, which are only now starting to be acknowledged. The successful introduction of basic data standards and reference architecture for housing providers will, open up data analytics and customer insight in the sector and over time provide a range of financial, strategic and regulatory benefits to housing providers.
