Ira Cohen is the co-founder and chief data scientist at Anodot. Prior to Anodot, Ira was Chief Data Scientist at HP Software, defining and developing advanced data analytics & big data initiatives. He is the author of numerous patents and publications and holds a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign. Darya Niknamian, Content Marketing Manager at Dataconomy interviewed him about his work in data science, among other things.

Ellen Friedman is a solutions consultant, speaker and author, currently writing mainly about big data topics. She is a committer for the Apache Drill and Apache Mahout projects. With a PhD in Biochemistry, she has years of experience as a research scientist and has written about a variety of technical topics including molecular biology, nontraditional inheritance, and oceanography. Elena Poughia, Managing Director at Dataconomy sat down with her and talked about the transforming power of technology, among other things.
