Dear Data Natives,

The tech event scene in Berlin is truly booming, and we tend to overbook our schedules with meetups, workshops, networking breakfasts and conferences.

However, this and the upcoming month will be different because IBM's Pop-Up Experience comes to town, and we cannot wait to tell you why it's worth to clear your busy schedule and join us there!

Geek Out with IBM Experts

It is not every day that you get an opportunity to get creative with experts from IBM! The Data Science & Developer Experience conference is all about actionable learnings - you will leave with new business strategies, MVPs and game-changing ideas that can actually be used in your work.

The program won’t disappoint you - creating psychedelic trance with AI, building your own virtual assistant and, on top of that, a sparkling rooftop party!

So block the weekend of June 11th-12th and get your hands on experimenting with Blockchain, Kubernetes, istio, serverless architecture or cognitive application development in an expert-supported environment.

ATTEND
Machine Learning Models, Data Science Workflows, AI Ethics, and more - talks you shouldn't miss:
Matthias Biniok, lead Watson Architect DACH, designed CIMON - a smiling robot assisting astronauts in space. He will share his know-how and teach you how to build a simple but powerful virtual assistant. If you are fast enough, you will integrate the assistant into a telephony system, leveraging Watson Speech to Text, Watson Text to Speech, and the IBM Voice Agent.

Thomas Schaeck is IBM's Data & AI Distinguished Engineer. As a trusted portal architect and leader in portal integration standards, Thomas played a key role in winning hearts and minds of initial reference customers and then many enterprise customers in Germany and Europe. His expert talk will focus on analysing data, training models to make predictions and optimising actions.

Stephan Laertz is leading software development and data scientists department with two international squads with end-to-end responsibility for the programmatic experience and runtimes in IBM's Data Science and AI cloud offering. From data acquisition to deploying a machine learning model, Stephan Laertz will teach you how to implement an end-to-end data science workflows at scale.

Advocating for the use of open source in tech, diversity and inclusion in businesses, we are particularly excited to host panels dedicated to Ethics in AI and Open Source with Ocean Protocol's Data Scientist Marcus Jones, IBM's Global Chief Data Scientist and DeepLearning/AI Engineer Romeo Kienzler, KI Protect Co-Founder Andreas Dewes, Zalando's Lead Engineer Lionel Montrieux, Senior Medical AI Researcher at Charité Berlin Vince Madai, Tech Writer and Blogger Chris Ward and Data Scientist and Educator Shlomi Hod.

Ready for the fun part?

AI-produced psychedelic trance at a data conference? Why not, it is the weekend after all!

During the Data Science & Developer Experience, you will see AI improvising trance with Romeo Kienzler, Head of IoT at IBM and a noted influencer in the tech sphere.

As Kienzler will be rocking the event with AI music, Anders Indset will rock your mind with his keynote “Accelerating the Journey to AI”. The business philosopher and entrepreneur presents radical approaches to leaders on how to fix the minds, hearts and hands of organisations. He is a frequent speaker at international business schools and published his book ‘Wild Knowledge’ in 2017.

Klaas Bollhoefer, Independent Data Science and AI Consultant and Founder & CxO at Birds on Mars, will present the latest generation of AI Muse, a cloud-based modular machine learning system able to extract and learn features such as colors, compositions, contrasts, structures. Fed 3 years ago on an initial set of digital images, the Muse learns what inspires the painter.
