Kathryn Harrison is the founder and CEO of the FixFake, a SaaS platform to help companies tackle emerging digital threats in imagery, video and audio. Prior to founding FixFake, Kathryn spent nearly a decade at IBM. She most recently served as Director of Global Product Management for IBM Blockchain Platform, where she was responsible for developing and delivering IBM’s open source contributions to Hyperledger as well as its blockchain software products. In earlier roles at IBM, Kathryn led the Payments and Blockchain team for IBM Middle East and Africa and the Smarter Cities team for IBM’s Global Business Services practice. Kathryn began her career in financial services at Gerson Lehrman Group in New York and Hong Kong. Kathryn Harrison is a member of the Lauder Advisory Board at the University of Pennsylvania and previously served as the President of the Lauder Institute Alumni Association. She is a term member on the Council of Foreign Relations, an American Council on Germany Young Leader, a French American Foundation Transatlantic Forum member, and a frequent conference speaker on topics related to identity, cybersecurity, deepfakes and blockchain including IFC CEO Forum, WEF Misinformation 2020, Digital Currencies and Blockchain and the DC Blockchain Summit. Kathryn has a Bachelor of Science from the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University, an MBA from the Wharton School and an MA from the Lauder Institute both at the University of Pennsylvania. In her free time, Kathryn enjoys ultramarathons, NY theater, and mentoring women in technology.
