About this event
Welcome to new and familiar faces! Whether you are brand new to the Applied Data Hackathon or know a little, let’s bring everyone up to speed. Applied Data Incubator is the new kid on the block and we are empowering teams and individuals to take part in an exciting data-driven hackathon. Fear not though, we may be new, but we are built on the strong shoulders of entrepreneurial powerhouse Startup Colors and combined with the established Data Natives, Europe’s biggest data science and AI event, and Dataconomy – the largest media portal focused on data-driven technologies. It’s a match made in heaven. Now speaking of matches, that’s something we’ll be looking at in this session.
That’s because this gathering is two-fold: we want to share more exciting details about the hackathon AND find you the perfect team in case you are on your own at the moment. We love playing matchmaker so rest assured, you’re in safe hands. All you need to bring is creativity and a passion for data 😉
Applied Data Hackathon
The Hackathon kicks off on February 28 and this is your chance to work with real-life data on real-life challenges. We’ll say that again because we think it’s truly awesome. This hackathon has challenges that use real data and you’ll be solving real business problems! How amazing does that sound? You can of course work on your own ideas, in fact, we’re really open to that, we just love that you have the chance to make a difference from the get-go.
Now before February 28, there are a couple of things you should do:
- Register individually on TaiKai for the Applied Data Hackathon
- Join our Slack workspace to connect with other talents. Start by introducing yourself and engaging with other registrants
- Register for this Matchmaking and info session on February 22
The hackathon is online and on-site, so you can pick what’s best for you. For those in Berlin, from March 3 it takes place in the very cool surroundings of Drivery Berlin – you know that place that has THE CAR FROM ‘BACK TO THE FUTURE’ casually parked in their space…! Did we mention that Drivery Berlin is also the crib for the incubator? Woop!
So come join us and discover more about the Applied Data Hackathon and meet our corporate partners including machine vision experts Vitronic, QuickMOVE, who convey where others cannot plus others and University of St. Gallen.
Important Dates!
- FEBRUARY 28 – Registration closes and we launch our prep week
- MARCH 1-5 – Workshops, mentoring, deep dives and more alongside your hacking! For those who want to be in Berlin we’ll be onsite from March 3
- MARCH 7 – The Grand Finale! It’s Pitch Time with 200+ guests 🙂
P.s. You can decide at the end of the hackathon if you are ready to take the leap and start your own venture with Applied Data Incubator, so no pressure from us. Also there’ll be prizes given out at the Hackathon Live Pitch event on March 7 (where you present your amazing efforts!)
